Prep HeadQuarters Sponsors National Catholic Colleges Week
CHICAGO, IL (PRWeb) February 17, 2007 -- Prep HeadQuarters has announced their sponsorship of National Catholic Colleges Week which will be celebrated February 18-25, 2007.
The event is organized annually by the National Catholic Colleges Admission Association to recognize the collaboration between Catholic colleges and Catholic secondary schools. Activities throughout the week promote the benefits of Catholic post-secondary education to high school students and highlight the accomplishments of Catholic colleges and their role in society.
Prep HeadQuarters (PrepHQ) is a free web-based tool that helps counselors manage the college planning process. PrepHQ is pleased to be a partner in Catholic Colleges Week so that it can recognize its success in offering this college selection tool to existing Catholic secondary schools and introducing it to new ones.
"Dozens of Catholic high schools across the country are already using PrepHQ, and we have seen the difference it can make in their college planning programs," said J.T. Allen, president of myFootpath, the makers of Prep HeadQuarters.
"We want to ensure that the same advantage is available to all Catholic high schools - and this sponsorship is a great way to spread the word about PrepHQ."
Students and parents in participating schools have access to PrepHQ to communicate with the school, keep checklists and information on different college prep topics, research colleges in PrepHQ's on-line database of 4,454 post-secondary institutions, search for scholarships, and keep track of all the paperwork that's required to apply to and pay for college.
Through an innovative corporate sponsorship program, PrepHQ is available to Catholic high schools nationwide at no cost to the school, diocese, parents or students. Select, school-appropriate and school-approved organizations sponsor the site in exchange for placing the sponsor's logo and a link to its web site on the tool. PrepHQ provides unlimited free training and support to schools, and assists them in customizing the site to best meet their needs.
PrepHQ serves dozens of Catholic high schools across the country. In total, PrepHQ is used by hundreds of secondary schools, Catholic or otherwise, across 26 states.
PrepHQ was created by myFootpath, a Chicago-based company founded by leading counselors to improve the college prep process.
