Cracking the Code: New Bible Studies Use Scripture to Interpret Scripture
Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) July 10, 2007 -- Life demands our being able to interpret: body language, movies, songs and especially the language of the Bible. The problem is, with millions of Christians in America and around the globe basing their lives on Christ's words and His work, it's very easy for preachers and teachers to "interpret" the Bible according to their personal opinion.
"With so many commentaries today trying to sway people to their own interpretation of the Bible, it's hard to find something that's 100 percent truth," said Gail Knox, author and 16-year Bible study teacher. Knox has introduced a new line of Bible studies uses scripture to interpret scripture, resulting in a more accurate interpretation.
These Easy-to-Learn Inductive Bible studies from Word Among Us Ministries consist of student workbooks and a Leader's Guide that are excellent study material for Sunday School classes and small group Bible study. The Easy-to-Learn series currently includes studies for Jonah, Titus, 1 John, Jude and Revelation.
"In regards to Bible studies, so many times you'll see people presenting their opinion as gospel," said Knox. "When that happens, and people later realize the error of man's opinion, it destroys credibility and there's a lot of disillusionment to deal with. When you're studying the Bible, it's important to take things in context."
Small group leaders looking for a different way of teaching God's Word will find that these guides can help them overcome many challenges of leading a small group Bible study (http://gailknox.org/studies.htm). Each guide provides specific questions relating to everyday living for each of the books in the program. The questions are designed to provoke thought and discussion among the group.
"It's important for small group leaders to be able to interpret scripture with scripture," Knox said. "Commentary is written by man, as opposed to the Bible, which is written by the Holy Spirit. If one uses commentary to interpret scripture, it is merely another person's opinion and not God's absolute truth."
A lot of misconception surrounds the Bible and its interpretation. The director of the Alabama Securities Commission said that he saw more money stolen in the name of God than any other way. With Easy-to-Learn Inductive Bible studies, it's possible to teach Truth without twisting God's Word.

Rev. David Bauscher of Cambridge, NY, has Just Published a Book with Lulu.com Titled 'The Original Aramaic New Testament in Plain English'
About "The Original Aramaic New Testament in Plain English":
This is the New Testament translated from Aramaic - the language of Jesus and his countrymen of 1st century Israel. Aramaic was used in Mel Gibson's film "The Passion of the Christ" to make the film as realistic and accurate as possible. This New Testament will surprise and thrill the reader with its power and inspiration coming from an idiomatic translation of the words of "Eesho" ("Jesus" in ancient Aramaic) as He originally spoke them in a literal English rendering. Much evidence is presented demonstrating very powerfully that "The Peshitta Aramaic NT" is the original behind The Greek NT.
This is a very unusual production, in that it presents powerful and abundant support for ...
